Here is Love (Adapted)

Here is love, vast as the ocean
Loving-kindness as the flood
When the Prince of Life, our Ransom
Shed for us His precious blood
Who His love will not remember?
Who can cease to sing His praise?
He can never be forgotten
Throughout heav’n’s eternal days

On the mount of crucifixion
Fountains opened deep and wide
Through the floodgates of God’s mercy
Flowed a vast and gracious tide
Grace and love, like mighty rivers
Poured incessant from above
And heav’n’s peace and perfect justice
Kissed a guilty world in love

When shame comes with accusation
Hear the Father’s voice decree
“Now the Lord rebuke you, Satan;
This, my child, belongs to me.”
All my sins you won’t remember
“Not condemned”, I will confess
You’ve exchanged my filthy garments
For your robes of righteousness

Now the risen Christ is pouring
Holy Spirit on us all
And with open hearts to heaven
We receive to overflow
We’re preparing for His glory
There is so much more to come
And it’s all for Him who’s worthy
Jesus Christ, the Risen One
